Betis (@1.95) vs Levante (@3.9)

Our Prediction:

Betis will win

Betis – Levante Match Prediction | 25-09-2019 14:00

This Wednesdays clash in Valencia is another big one for Levante, who find themselves battling against relegation despite a bright start to the season. They could do with a win here as they bid to remain in the race for Europa League football. Theres not really any more positivity in the Real Betis camp though after another weekend defeat added to the growing uncertainty surrounding the future of Quique Setien.

They are just one point above the relegation line and will have to deal with the likes of Celta Viga and Vallecano, who are particular to avoid the boot. Levante is going through its most crucial phase in their season. The fact that they are at home, and against a misfiring Betis provides them incentive to go after the three points on offer.

Recent Competition Form

While this is a new Betis under new management, they are still a team that likes to control the play although there is a greater emphasis on getting the ball forward a bit more quickly than there was under Quique Setien. It may be a similar approach here. The Valencia club won by an aggregate score of 7-0 across the two games including a 3-0 win at the Benito Villamarin on the opening weekend where they scored their goals courtesy of some blistering counter-attacking football.

Any decision is likely to be made in the summer and the final five games may have a bearing on whether he stays or goes. However his possession-based approach and some of his comments to the press havent gone down well with Betis fans, many of whom were chanting for him to go during the defeat against Valencia at the weekend. He is the bookies favourite to be the next Barcelona manager and many Barca fans would welcome him right now. Setiens situation is a curious one.

Both of these teams started this season poorly. If we take everything I said, it points to the draw with under 2.5 goals scored. I looked at their recent performances and their styles of play, as well as other factors like tradition while I was crafting my selection. Both teams will have their chances to win but my opinion is that they are evenly matched.

Now Trending Football Predictions

They have 5 points from the 5 games they played in the La Liga with a 5:8 goal difference. Betis is in poor form this season. They will need a lot from Nabil Fekir in this game in order for them to win the vital 3 points. They are scoring and conceding in every game they play. They will have all of their players ready for this game.

That should make way for Loren Moron to return to the team and he has been in good form with 3 goals already this season. Betis will have to cope without their star summer signing Fekir here. Betis may go 4-4-2 as a result while Levante are likely to revert to a 4-3-3 bordering on 4-5-1 when they dont have the ball.

Levante have kept their most important player Mayoral this summer. They are scoring and conceding in every game they play. Both teams are looking to secure as good as possible results in this game hoping to achieve their season goals. My opinion is that we can expect a low scoring game in this one. Historically they do not have trouble defeating them. Betis is in poor form this season. Levante won the last two out of three fixtures against Betis. They have 5 points from the 5 games they played in the La Liga with a 6:9 goal difference. They have 7 points after the solid start of the season. They will need a lot from Nabil Fekir in this game in order for them to win the vital 3 points.

Our prediction for this Primera Division match:

Furthermore, after the impressive start the team had to their season, the loss against Real Madrid, and the draw against Eibar have put a damp cloth on their flames. As such, they will be desperate to get back on track, and since some of the best teams in the league have failed to produce much of an impact in 2019-20, rest of the squads have gained belief, that this campaign could see some major upsets.

Sevilla, though, failed to make life difficult for Barcelona in the title game. The Spanish footballer, who is capable of playing as both full back and a winger, won three UEFA Europa League trophies with los Sevillanos (2014, 2015, 2016) and he made it to the Spanish Cup final in the 2015/2016 season with the Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan outfit. After spending five years in Andalusia, Coke signed a three-year contract with Schalke on 31 July, 2016 for a fee of 5 million.

The same could be said of Paco Lopez at Levante, who worked wonders to keep them up last term but has lost the magic touch in the second half of this season. His side showed spirit to fight back from behind twice to draw against Espanyol at the weekend. However it was a game in which they would have been targeting three points and theyve now gone 9 without victory in La Liga.

The nickname of Levante UD is Las Granotes which literally means the frogs. The club host its home games in the Ciutat de Valencia Stadium which holds a capacity of 26 000 seats. The Valencia derby is one of the most hectic football games in the region. The club is the second biggest of Valencia after the very known football club Valencia CF. Levante failed to win previous five home games in the Spanish top flight, therefore, it is no surprise they are considered underdogs in Wednesdays football match against Real Betis. Los Levantinos are desperate to secure the La Liga survival, but they will have to be at their sharpest in the remainder of the season if they are to meet the goal. Levante will be looking to put an end to their nine-game winless run in La Liga when they host Real Betis at their Estadio Ciudad de Valencia on Matchday 34.
